Ekaterine Giorgadze

Born in T’blisi, Georgia, Ekaterine studied classical ballet at the State Ballet School in Berlin, continuing her studies in modern and contemporary dance at Folkwang University in Essen. Through her long career as a dancer she has performed works by renown choreographers including Pina Bausch, Johannes Wieland, Jacopo Godani, Ismael Ivo, Wayne McGregor and Robyn Orlin, among others.

 

Since 2012, Ekaterine lives in Frankfurt am Main and works as a freelance choreographer, performer and teacher. Together with Jason Jacobs she established the dance company MuddyBoots in order to develop her own choreographic projects. She has collaborated with Zaungästekollektiv since 2015.
