Contemporary drama
An unpaid gas bill becomes the starting point for making and reconstructing history, when a young violinist opens an open invoice from 1944. 1700 unpaid euros. For gas in an apartment in Amsterdam, where Jews and members of the resistance were arrested. For gas which had cost lives elsewhere. This drama, by the Israeli author Maya Arad Yasur, has won the Stückemarkt award at the Berlin Theatertreffen 2018. It is suitable for all people from the age of 14 who are enthusiastic about history and humorous-poetic polyphony.
