AdeleEmil Behrenbeck
AdeleEmil Behrenbeck, born in Bochum in 1996, went to the Hope Theatre Nairobi, Kenya, for an internship after graduating from high school. Following this time, AE led the troupe's tour through Germany and Austria and took on all the German-speaking roles.
From 2016, AdeleEmil trained as an event manager at the Bahnhof Langendreer e.V. socio-cultural center.
From 2019 to 2023, AE studied acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and performed at the Schauspielhaus Graz in "Once Upon Tomorrow" directed by Rachel Müller. AdeleEmil also founded the Graz talk show "Auf Ein Glas Mit" with fellow students Aron Eichhorn and Max Rehberg during the coronavirus pandemic. A new episode was published every month with guests from the art and culture scene in Graz. Their guests included Margarethe Tiesel, Ferdinand Schmalz, Iris Laufenberg and many more.
The highlight was a live show in House II of the Schauspielhaus Graz, with the actress Pia Hierzegger as a guest.
AdeleEmil has been working on the visibility of acting roles and non-acting roles in the theater since her studies. When is a role visible? How does the interaction between actors and audience work and what necessities arise as a result?
Alongside this, AdeleEmil Behrenbeck is interested in the perception of non-binary people on and off stage. What opportunities does theater have to contribute to the deconstruction of binary gender roles?
AE came to Marburg in the 2022/23 season as a studio member as part of a cooperation between the Hessisches Landestheater Marburg and the University of Art and Design Graz.
AdeleEmil has been a permanent ensemble member at the HLTM since the 2023/24 season.
