Jette Büshel

Jette Büshel was born in Hildesheim in 1996.

After graduating from high school, she completed a Voluntary Social Year of Culture at Schauspiel Frankfurt as an assistant director in the 2014/15 season. There she worked with Laura Linnenbaum, Hans Block, Stephanie Mohr, Mizgin Bilmen, Alexander Eisenach and Christian Franke, among others.

In 2018, she graduated from the University of Hamburg with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Philosophy. In Hamburg, she also assisted on projects by Henri Hüster and Elsa-Sophie Jach as well as on several short films. In 2018, she began her directing studies at the Frankfurt University of Performing Arts and assisted at the HLTM in the 2021/2022 season.

She was a scholarship holder of the Deutschlandstipendium. She is currently a scholarship holder of the Main Campus Scholarship of the Polytechnische Gesellschaft. She is on the board of the "ensemble-netzwerk" and active in the "junge ensemble-netzwerk". Her production "Kleiner Mann - was nun?" was invited to the Körber Studio Junge Regie 2022.

HOPP! is her first directorial work at the HLTM.
