Jörn Fröhlich

Stage Design

After training as a dressmaker at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in 1997, Jörn Fröhlich completed his diploma in costume design at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and has worked as a costume and set designer ever since.

From 2002 to 2005, he was production manager of the costume department at the Rheinoper Düsseldorf, where he designed numerous operas and ballets.

He then expanded his creative spectrum in the direction of commercial design for visual marketing, visual merchandising and window dressing when he took over the management of the decoration department at the Breuninger Department Store in Stuttgart in 2005.

Since 2008, Jörn Fröhlich has been working freelance under his own label JOFRO.COM both as a costume and stage designer and in the field of visual communication, developing and implementing designs ranging from corporate identity to visual merchandising and exhibition concepts in the textile retail sector.

In addition, he has been a lecturer in costume and set design at the Faculty of Art and Design at Izmir University of Economics since 2010 and has coordinated the final classes and examinations in collection design and visual merchandising there since 2012.
