Maxime Mourot

Direction

Maxime Mourot was born in Koblenz. After graduating from high school, he worked as an intern director at the Konzert Theater Bern and spent two years as an assistant director at the Lucerne Theater. He has been studying directing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main since 2016. His production of Ingrid Lausund's "Bin nebenan" (2015) was shown at the Lucerne Theater and the Theater im Bauturm in Cologne. He staged "Das Knurren der Milchstraße" by Bonn Park (2021) at the Saarländisches Staatstheater and "Wir sind schön für hässliche Leute" by Dany Boudreault at the Festival Primeurs 2018. Together with Leo Schenkel and Andreas Weinmann, he staged "Tyll" by Daniel Kehlmann at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in 2021. "Der Herzerlfresser" by Ferdinand Schmalz (2022) is his first work at the HLTM.
