Schirin Khodadadian

Direction

Schirin Khodadadian studied German and Romance languages and literature at the University of Münster. Initially as an in-house director at the Ingolstadt Theater, she has been working as a director at municipal and state theaters in German-speaking countries for almost 20 years. For "So wild ist es in unseren Wäldern schon lange mehr nicht" by Theresia Walser at the Staatstheater Kassel, she received the German Academy of Performing Arts' Advancement Award for Directing in 2005. With her world premiere productions of plays by the authors Theresia Walser and Rebekka Kricheldorf, she has been invited several times to the Autorentheatertage Berlin, the Heidelberger Stückemarkt and the Mülheimer Theatertage. Her most recent production in Marburg was Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard".
