THEATER PATRON PROJECT
IN COOPERATION WITH THE KULTURLOGE MARBURG E.V.
"Every child and young person should be given the opportunity to experience dance and theater at least twice a year." This is what the Council for Performing Arts and Dance in the German Cultural Council decided and recommended years ago. We are committed to implementing this demand for justice in terms of cultural participation: For more than 10 years, we have been running the theater sponsorship project in collaboration with the Kulturloge Marburg. We invite around 10-12 children and young people between the ages of 10 and 14 to take part. And of course also former and new interested parties who would like to volunteer as mentors.
After a two-year break due to the coronavirus, we would like to get MOVING again. To do this, we need a sufficient number of sponsors who can imagine taking on a sponsored child. The project period (4-5 dates) will probably extend from November to March. Mainly at weekends. We will get to know each other, watch theater together and maybe even get active ourselves. We will work out the complete program at the beginning of the season in September, as it will depend on the age structure of the sponsored children.
