Michael Ende, adapted for the stage by Vita Huber
Momo
Family play
One day, Momo moves into the ruins of the ancient amphitheater. No one knows where the orphaned girl comes from. She is popular with the local children and adults. Her superpower: approaching everyone openly and listening to them, with all the time in the world. But soon the gray lords, the agents of the Time Savings Fund, spread throughout the town. They sign contracts with the adults to stop wasting time on nonsense. Master Hora, the guardian of time, and his faithful tortoise Cassiopeia help Momo to unravel the mystery of the increasingly strange behavior of the adults and the grey masters.
Momo is one of the most popular german children's books and has sold over seven million copies worldwide. Michael Ende tells a sensitive story about the different meanings time has for children and adults: invisible and yet there, always holding hope and loss in equal measure.
For all people aged 6 and above who know how important time with loved ones is and who don't want to have it stolen by others. Who, like the street sweeper Beppo, go on from breath to breath full of confidence.
